"Lessons need to be learned" says local TD

Discussions and debates are continuing today in the Dail in relation to the governments response to Storm Éowyn.

Sligo Leitrim Fianna Fáil TD Eamon Scanlon says some families are now in their 15th day without power.

He says lessons need to be learned adding that the communication from the ESB left a lot to be desired.

Speaking earlier in the Dail, Deputy Scanlon called for grants to be provided to people to purchase generators so that they can avoid suffering similar ordeals in the future.
