440 people are waiting on a bed at hospitals across the country.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation claims 340 people are on trolley's while a further 100 are in overflow areas of wards.
According to the latest trolley watch report - Letterkenny University Hospital is the most overcrowded with 38 people in need of a bed.
