Letterkenny University hospital extend no visitor policy due to high number of people with flu symptoms

Letterkenny University Hospital have extended their no visitor rules today.

No one is allowed to visit Letterkenny University Hospital other than exceptional circumstances and following approval with a ward manager.

The reasoning is due to the high number of people arriving with flu symptoms which put vulnerable people at risk of infection.

Speaking to OceanFM, Michael Mulhern, a Microbiologist with the Hospital says they are trying to help protect the most vulnerable patients.
