Ireland West Airport Knock, as well as airports in Donegal and Kerry, are to benefit from government funding of €6m in operational support.
This is in addition to €21m funding announced for regional airports for 2021.
The allocations are part of an €80m support package for the overall aviation sector.
Meanwhile, this morning (Wednesday), representatives of the three regional airports will appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications (at 11:30am) as it continues its discussions on the crisis facing the aviation sector.
Sligo/Leitrim Deputy Marian Harkin says the Independent Group, of which she is a member, had submitted a motion for debate this morning.
And she adds she has little doubt but that this hastened the government's announcement on the latest funding for the regional airports.
