Local community-based and voluntary and social care providers receive funding

A number of community-based and voluntary and social care providers across counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal have been allocated funding under the ‘Inflation Fund’.

The funding which was announced by Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly this morning is once-off, as part of Government measures to ease cost-of-living pressures.

The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform announced funding to assist various sectors with costs related to energy inflation in Budget 2023 including €100 million targeted at what is being described as “a range of Health funded bodies including nursing homes, hospices and Section 39 organisations.”
