A former chief executive of Donegal Education and Training Board and of Sligo VEC has been appointed to the board of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology by the Minister for Education and Skills.
He's Shaun Purcell, who's currently chief executive of Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim Education and Training Board.
He served in Sligo for five years and, after that, in Donegal for three years until September 2015.
His term on the GMIT board runs until March 2020.
