Local fears must be allayed in N17 plans - Mulvey

There's a warning for all stakeholders in the proposed new N17 project to take on board the concerns of those along the planned route before final contracts are signed.

While it has been deemed as the biggest infrastructure project in Sligo and will ultimately lead to a positive impact for most, it's thought that a number of people could be seriously affected as well.

To that end, local Fine Gael Cllr Dara Mulvey says it's crucial that every effort must be made to allay any local fears.

He believes that compromises can be found but that in-depth discussions must take place in the first instance:
