Local parent voices concern over special educational needs

Ahead of the new school year resuming next week concerns have been raised locally about children with special educational needs not being accommodated.

 

The Minister of State with responsibility for Special Education Josepha Madigan has confirmed that there will be special classes and special school places across Dublin and Cork for the forthcoming school year.

It brings to over 2,500 the number of special classes being provided nationally by the Department of Education.
