Local TD calls for assurances to be provided on day care centres

A Sligo-Leitrim TD is seeking assurances that day centres in Sligo and Leitrim will be operational in 2023.

Deputy Marian Harkins says she expects  that Cliffoney Day Centre will be operational in early 2023.

Alternative locations in Leitrim are being sought to St.Patrick's Community Hospital in Carrick-On-Shannon and they are also expected to be announced shortly.

peaking to Ocean FM News, Deputy Harkin says it vital these services resume as quickly as possible.

The Independent TD has also called concrete information is provided on the reopening of the centre in Easkey
