Local TD says 'Supply Chain General' needed for Brexit transition

A local TD believes the appointment of a 'Supply Chain General' for the haulage sector would help the post Brexit transition.

Fianna Fail Sligo/Leitrim Deputy, Marc MacSharry, made the suggestion in the Dail yesterday.

There has been confusion at Irish and British ports in recent weeks since Britain left the EU.

Deputy MacSharry says there are suggestions that transport costs for exports could continue rising if something isn't done.
