Local TD says there are still serious issues for nursing homes to address

It's emerged that a member of the Irish Medical Council has resigned due to the handling of the Covid-19 crisis in nursing homes.

Sligo/Leitrim Sinn Féin Martin Kenny has raised concerns over the matter adding that the issue requires urgent action.

The Leitrim based TD has also called for home help carers to be allocated Personal Protective Equipment adding that he was disappointed that this principle had yet to be agreed by government.
