Junior Minister Marian Harkin has defended the Government's decision to send 38 Ministerial representatives overseas for the St Patrick's Day Celebrations.
Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Marian Harkin will herself attend the festivities in Belgium and Netherlands, two of Ireland's leading export countries.
The purpose of the state trips are to encourage relationships between Ireland and the rest of the world.
