The current Communications Officer at Sligo County Council is retiring on Friday.
Kevin Colreavy has had a number of roles within the Council over his tenure, having worked with the local authority for over 30 years.
At the last sitting of Sligo County Council earlier this month, local representatives paid tribute to Mr. Colreavy for his commitment to his work and is mentoring skills to those newly elected to the Council over the years.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Mr. Colreavy says he takes with him lasting friendships and says a highlight of his career is seeing Sligo grow over the years:
