21 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital were on trolleys this morning as there is currently a long wait for beds.
Yesterday, 179 patients attended the emergency department, with 69 presentations so far today.

People who require emergency care are still encouraged to visit the emergency department, despite the pressure on the hospital.
The hospital acknowledges that these delays are very difficult for patients and their families and apologises for the inconvenience and distress these delays cause.
