Tributes are being paid to a Donegal RNLI Officer who has retired after 20 years of service.
Lough Swilly RNLI Lifeboat Operations Officer, John McCarter who joined the station in 2003, has hung up his pager for the final time.
In a post on social media, Lough Swilly RNLI say Mr. McCarty put "his fellow crew first and was a good friend and father like figure to many."
