Lough Swilly RNLI were tasked to a callout over the weekend evening to assist a woman who sustained an injury on Inishtrahull Island.
The incident occurred at 8.30pm on Saturday evening.
The lady was part of a group of kayakers who had landed on the island earlier.
The All-Weather Lifeboat was launched and the crew berthed on the small pier on the north side of the island and took the lady and her kayak aboard.

She was taken back to Buncrana Pier and handed into the care of the National Ambulance Service and taken to hospital.
It's understood that no other injuries were sustained throughout the incident.
Lough Swilly RNLI have reminded people to contact the coast guard if they find themselves in difficulty in or on the water.
