Lucky escape as motorists urge to be aware of freezing conditions and fog

With more cold, mist and fog on the way tonight, motorists are advised to exercie caution on the roads.

One motorist on the N17 Collooney to Tubbercurry road had a lucky escape earlier today when their car left the road in fog.

The incident happened near Thornhill Bridge, on the Collooney side of Ballinacarrow.

The overturned car remained in a field alongside the road this afternoon.

Nobody was injured in the accident.
