MacSharry rows in behind calls for concrete levy to be scrapped

A Sligo Leitrim TD has called for a few amendments to the Budget.

 

Fianna Fail Deputy Marc MacSharry has rowed in behind calls for the 10% concrete levy announced in the budget to be scrapped.

The measure, due to come into effect next year, is to be brought in by the government to help fund the Mica Redress Scheme.

 

Deputy MacSharry also believes that rental relief must be extended to those in third level education.

Speaking in the Dáil, Deputy MacSharry says the changes would make a huge difference for many people. While responding, Minister Michael McGrath says issues raised will be considered:
