Major Leitrim issue to be included in government formation talks

The issue of once off waste water treatment plants has been raised again in Leitrim.

Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott says he attributes the issue to being the main factor in the high number of unsuccessful planning applications in the County.

Cllr McDermott says that with more people than ever now working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic, there is an opportunity to increase the population of many rural areas that have diminished over the years.

The Fine Gael Councillor says he recently raised the matter with senior party members and the issue will be discussed at Government formation talks:
