A man in his thirties has been arrested in relation to an incident which saw a marked Garda patrol car go on fire outside Castlefin Garda Station, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Shortly before 4:15am, a marked Garda patrol vehicle that was parked outside the Garda station was discovered on fire.
The fire was extinguished by local fire services and no injuries were reported.
The man is currently being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
