A man has been arrested following a high speed Garda chase in Sligo.
It happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning last.
A car collided with a Garda patrol car during the course of the incident.
The chase is believed to have ended abruptly in the Collooney area where the man was apprehended.

The man, whos in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and taken to Sligo Garda station.
He has since been charged and is due to appear in court at a later date.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Gardai say they're investigating the incident and that all Gardaí involved are receiving support from their colleagues, local Garda management and can avail of wider organisational supports if required.
