The man who was arrested yesterday in connection with the Creeslough tragedy has been released without charge.
He was detained for 15 hours at a Garda Station in the North Western Region, before being released this morning at around 1am.
The man in his 60s presented himself voluntarily to Dundalk Garda Station, and was subsequently arrested for alleged reckless endangerment, contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.
A file is now being prepared for the DPP, and Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
