A man has been assaulted during an aggravated burglary in Sligo town.
Gardaí attended the scene of the incident which happened at a house on Fatima Avenue, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
At around 6am on Saturday, a male intruder entered the property and threatened and assaulted the owner, a man in his 50s.
The suspect left the scene with a sum of money.

Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.
