Man charged in organised crime investigation in Sligo/Leitrim

A man has been charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into organised crime in Sligo and Leitrim.

Gardai arrested the man in the Sligo area earlier this morning.

The man in his mid 20s is the 10th person to be arrested as part of the year-long Operation Bulldog.

He is the second person to be charged in relation to the wide ranging operation and has appeared at Loughrea District Court in Ballinasloe this morning.

Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.
