Man charged over Ballina fatal assault and to appear in court

A man has been charged in relation to the death of John Casserly in Mayo.

Mr. Casserly, aged in his 50s, was found with multiple stab wounds at an apartment on Tone Street, Ballina on Wednesday night.

Two men were arrested - one of whom, aged in his early 30s, is due before Castlebar District Court this afternoon.

The other, in his late 20s, has already been released from custody, with a file being prepared for the DPP.
