A man who pleaded guilty to murdering a Sligo man in Australia in February 2023 is due to before the Supreme Court this week.
Damien Conlon, who was originally from Summerhill Village, was shot dead following an incident at his home in New South Wales.
The father of his fiancée, Luke Simon was subsequently charged with his murder.
Mr Simon previously appeared before the Supreme Court via video link in August where he admitted fatally shooting Mr Conlon.
Damien Conlon worked in the hospitality industry in Sligo before emigrating to Australia in 2011.
He was formally declared an Australian citizen in June 2021 and he and his fiancée Linda Simon shared two children together, three-year-old Mason and two-year-old Elias.
