A man in his 30s has died after being hit by a car in county Roscommon.
It happened on the Longford-side of Strokestown on the N5 at around 5am this morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car was taken to hospital in Sligo with minor injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is being asked to contact Castlerea Garda Station.
