A man has died in a suspected drowning incident in Donegal.
Gardai were alerted to the discovery of a body yesterday evening at Downings Pier.
The body of the man, believed to be in his 40s, was removed from the scene to the local mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
A file is being prepared for the Coroner’s office.

Foul play is not suspected at this time with Gardai treating the incident as a tragic accident.
