A man in his 30’s is due in court today charged in connection with a fatal assault in Sligo Town in May of last year.
Gardaí investigating the assault of Angela Canavan at a residence in the town arrested and charged the man.

He will appear at Carrick on Shannon District Court at half ten.
Investigating Gardaí had previously arrested a man on suspicion of her murder.

He was later released without charge.
Gardaí said that the investigation into her death remains ongoing.
