Richard Burke has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, with the last 12 months suspended, for the manslaughter of his on-and-off partner Jasmine McMonagle.
Mr. Burke of Killygordon in Co. Donegal was found guilty of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility in March of this year.

Burke had pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter.
In January 2019, the 28 year old mother of two was found beaten and strangled in her home in Killygordon.
