Man found dead in Co. Donegal Garda station

A GSOC investigation is underway after a man was found dead in the cell of a Co Donegal Garda Station.

The man, who was in his 30s, was in Garda custody when he was discovered unresponsive.

Gardai say that urgent assistance was requested.

Despite several attempts to resuscitate him, the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

As per Garda Policy, Gardai say that this matter has been referred to GSOC under Section 102 of the Garda Síochána Act.
