A Garda investigation is underway after man in his twenties was left hospitalised after being attacked by a dog on the restricted breed list in Donegal yesterday.
The Irish Independent are reporting the man was jogging on the greenway between the villages of Muff and Quigley's Point before he was attacked by the animal.
It is believed that the animal was not muzzled at the time of the attack.
It’s reported that the dog broke free from its owner and chased the man before biting him a number of times on the leg.
The man was subsequently rushed to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry where he underwent emergency treatment.
