The man involved in last week's crash on Pearse Road in Sligo Town has passed away.
He was in his 70s, and the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident.
It's understood the man may have suffered from a medical issue before the incident occurred at around 8.10pm last Thursday.
He was taken to Sligo University Hospital, but has since passed away.
Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Pearse Road area of Sligo town between 8pm and 8:15pm on Thursday 20th June 2024 are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
