A man was arrested after a stabbing on the Strandhill Road in Sligo last night.
The emergency services were called to the scene at about half past eight.
Gardai say the the victim, in his 30s, suffered injuries to the head and neck.
He was brought to Sligo University Hospital, however, his injuries are not understood to be life-threatening.

A man, also in his 30s, was arrested and taken to Ballymote Garda Station for questioning.
Investigations are ongoing.
