A man has been reportedly stabbed in Sligo overnight.
It happened in the Ballytivnan area of the town in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services attended the scene and the victim was taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment to injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.
It's not yet known if there were any arrests in connection with the assault.

In a statement, Gardai say that they responded to reports of an alleged assault in the Ballytivnan area of Sligo in the early hours of this morning.
They say that enquiries are ongoing.
