A man who got stuck in a cave in county Fermanagh on Saturday evening has been freed.

Cave rescue volunteers worked into the early hours of Sunday morning in Cuilcagh to bring him to safety.

The man, who was on the return leg of a planned caving trip on the Marlbank on the north side of the mountain became too tired to progress.

The alert was raised shortly before 9pm with local Irish Cave Rescue Organisation volunteers arriving on the scene at about 9.15pm.
