A man who was arrested following an incident on ATU campus in Sligo has been released from custody.
The man reportedly brandished a knife and threatened students.
In a statement issued yesterday evening, Gardaí say that they responded to reports of a disturbance in Ballytivnan at around 2pm yesterday afternoon.
A man in his 40s, was arrested by Gardaí following the incident. He received medical attention at a Garda Station and has since been released from custody.
Gardai say that no injuries were reported and that enquiries are ongoing.
Gardai are aware that people may have recorded images or video of this incident and they are requesting that anyone who may have done so, not to publically share that imagery, but to make that imagery available to An Garda Síochána at Sligo Garda Station at 071 9157016.
