Manorhamilton councillor says north Leitrim was overlooked during recent visit of Roses

A Leitrim Councillor says questions need to be answered after A major opportunity was  lost this week to promote north Leitrim as a tourist destination.

Cllr Felim Gurn says there was massive media interest in the visit of the Rose of Tralee contestants to the County this week.

While in Leitrim they visited attractions and locations in Mohill, Drumshanbo, Carrick-on-Shannon and Carrigallen.

No North Leitrim tourist attractions were include on their itinerary during their visit to the county which spun over two days.

Speaking to Ocean FM news the independent Councillor says a major opportunity to promote north Leitrim as tourism destination was lost.
