A campaign asking men in the west to play their role in speaking out against domestic violence is running over the next week.
For the first time, ManUp, a Safe Ireland Campaign, is being aimed at a specific region in the country since it was created as a national initiative in 2012.
The campaign coincides with the international '16 Days of Action' which is aimed at changing attitudes towards women.
I spoke earlier with Carmel McNamee from the Domestic Violence Advocacy Service.
I began by asking why was the west chosen.
