A Sligo Leitrim TD has moved to dismiss speculation suggesting that he will not contest the next general election.
It had been speculated in recent days that the Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny will may not contest the election and instead concentrate on running in the 2024 European Elections.
Deputy Kenny is currently in the process in selling his home in Aughavas after two recent incidents at the property.
It was speculated that the Sinn Féin member many also change his political focus to Europe or not even contest any further elections.
Speaking to Ocean FM news the Leitrim based TD has pledged his support for the Sinn Fein midlands north west MEP Chris MacManus for European elections that ae due to take place next year.
