An Irish nurse is fighting for her life after being shot in Australia.
The woman, who is aged in her 30's and from Co. Mayo, was shot in the abdomen at a house in Darwin on Tuesday.

A 35 year old man who it's understood was known the woman, was found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Northern Territory News reports the woman underwent emergency surgery but is in a critical condition at the Royal Darwin hospital.
