The Minister for Agriculture says a new Mica redress scheme will definitely be brought forward before Christmas.
Families whose homes are affected by the defective blocks have been calling for a 100 per cent redress scheme to rebuild their homes.
But plans have been delayed multiple times as the Government considers caps on the scheme.
Houses in Donegal have been particularly affected by the defective building blocks, as well as an increasing number of houses in Sligo and Mayo.
