Presidential elections in Ireland could soon have more voters outside the State than within it.
That's according to figures from the Junior Minister tasked with a referendum on giving a vote to citizens outside the country.
Donegal Fine Gael Deputy Joe McHugh says 1.8 million people in the North, and 1.8 million citizens overseas, could now be given a vote.
But he wants the public to get involved in discussions on exactly who should qualify for a vote:
