MEP says online violence against women a major issue

A north west MEP says online violence against women is a major issue.

Midlands North West MEP, Maria Walsh, chaired a discussion around the topic yesterday and says the discrimination against women online is not confined solely to public figures.

She has been appointed to work on a file examining the potential actions the EU can take to tackle discrimination.
