Sligo’s Mercy College has funding granted for classroom extensions.
Education Minister Helen McEntee has confirmed the allocation after her recent visit to the school, where she saw the extensive damage done as a result of Storm Eowyn.
While Our Lady of Mercy NS has also been included in the announcement.
The extension to Our Lady of Mercy comprises of 4 mainstream classrooms and the reconfiguration of 4 other mainstream classrooms to provide 3 classrooms for students with special needs.
Meanwhile at Mercy College Sligo approval has been given by the Minister for the provision of 8 new mainstream classrooms alongside two further classrooms for children with special needs.
