Mica protests planned for the north west tomorrow

Demonstration are planned for tomorrow afternoon in Letterkenny and Ballina to protest on the lack of support for families affected by mica bricks.

Protesters say there are over 4,000 homes in Donegal crumbling due to defective blocks.

A large number of houses are also thought to be impacted in South Sligo.

A 100 percent redress scheme is being sought from the Government, instead of the current 90 promised.

Those impacted are also seeking accommodation to be supplied while homes are being rebuilt.
