West Sligo candidate Michael Clarke looks increasingly likely to gain a seat for Independent Ireland in the Sligo-Leitrim constituency, at the expense of incumbent TD Marian Harkin.
This follows completion of the tallies for Sligo, Leitrim and South Donegal on Saturday.
Counting of those votes is now underway.
A first count is expected at around 9pm on Saturday night.
