Minister due to tell colleagues that hospital overcrowding is improving

The Health Minister is due to tell colleagues this morning that the situation in Irish hospitals is improving.

Stephen Donnelly will update Cabinet as most recent INMO figures show 534 people were on trolleys yesterday, 64 of them in the North West.

It comes as the Irish Medical Organisation says the current situation in hospitals here is the worst its ever seen.
