Minister hopes for more talks over angiogram service at Sligo University Hospital

The Agriculture Minister hopes that more talks will take place in relation to the long term provision of the angiogram service at Sligo University Hospital.

It follows confirmation that the service in Letterkenny University Hospital has been secured.

The service had until now been run by an independent private operator that travelled to both hospitals weekly however the Letterkenny facility is set to run the service directly.

The Friends of Letterkenny Hospital charity had previously invested in and provided equipment in recent years which ensured the new Radiology unit was in place.
