People considering a move to the country could benefit under a new scheme being launched today.

The government will offer grants to those willing to restore and live in older buildings in rural towns and villages.

The scheme has a 60 million euro price tag, to be shared out across areas like enterprise, infrastructure, education and tourism.

The scheme is to be launched by the Minister for Rural Affairs Heather Humphreys at 2pm in Ballymahon in Longford.
